- Do I really need this large house or apartment
- How much money can I save by downsizing
- Can I live a simpler lifestyle
- Am I willing to be Frugal
- Am I willing to sell my house and move into a cheaper apartment
Purging your Lifestyle
I have discussed decluttering your home in a previous post and how to keep your home clean. An uncluttered home means less stress, a better outlook on life, more production at work and a happy you.
Now that you have purged your home of clutter are you willing to purge yourself from living in an expensive home or apartment? Becoming Frugal is a lifestyle change as you will be living a simpler life. Less stuff and a smaller living space.
Do your own personal research and find out how much you will be saving by downsizing your home and lifestyle. I know in some cases such as a large family downsizing may seem out of the question, however, it really is within your grasp.
You will be saving on your rent or mortgage. If you are downsizing from a large home to a smaller one, your taxes will go down. By downsizing you can probably make more money on a yard sale selling items that won't fit in your smaller space. You will be saving on your electric and heating bill.
Through downsizing your living space you can take the difference of living large to living frugally and put that money in the bank. This is a great way to save for the future and for emergencies that come up.
Have you ever considered living in a Tiny House? If you are single this a great investment. These tiny houses are very efficient with storage space and you will be living simply.
Simplify your Life
There is absolutely nothing wrong with simplifying your life by downsizing your living quarters or even moving to a less expensive town.
- You will have less stress
- You will be healthier
- You will be happier
- You will be saving money
- You will have a better outlook on everything
